When Covid19 hit, all concert venues closed their doors, so Etienne Gara and YuEun Kim decided to take to the road with their instruments and Boris, their 1971 VW bus, to bring music to people (and more). The goal of MusiKaravan is to showcase great music, delicious food and wine together with human bonding.

Etienne and YuEun have been living out of their vintage Volkswagen and performing socially-distanced concerts for farm workers, winemakers, random passersby, and even the occasional ostrich! As Musikaravan, their goal is to celebrate the people who are "working hard to feed us physically and emotionally with quality products."

The pandemic has exacerbated our need to connect with one-another, to emote and release the pressure that builds up in the anxiety-prone environment we live in, into a critical necessity. MusiKaravan brings the energy of a concert hall into the intimacy of a special musical bonding experience. It creates a musical womb that helps us let go of our worries and refill with the magic of sharing a true and liberating moment of life. During live musical performances, people access to a different sphere of emotional a spiritual state that induces a respite from the challenges of our lives. This cathartic experience is crucial to elevate our lives and spirit during these times of social distress. Through MusiKaravan, the delirious spirit of Delirium Musicum is traveling to farms, wineries, and people’s driveway to bring solace through poignant musical offerings.

Etienne, Artistic Director of Delirium Musicum, regularly performs with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall and at the Hollywood Bowl. He has recorded a solo album on a Stradivarius from 1714, performs internationally, and was featured on Leonard Cohen’s last album.

YuEun, an international competition winner, performs around the world and has a YouTube channel boasting over 6M views.
